Then we'll calculate your subjective age based on how old you feel physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Bone Density Scan
Our non-invasive, radiation-free scan measures your bone density as compared to others your age. Most of us reach peak bone mass in our 30s, but there are steps we can all take to ensure we maintain healthy, strong bones.

Common Questions

How were the tests in the aging wellness assessment selected?
Our doctors across multiple specialties, including our Chief Medical Officer Anant Vinjamoori, MD have determined  the correct comprehensive set of  lab tests that should ideally be routinely done and help provide cross-speciality insights. This gets us one step closer to determining the root cause of a particular symptom.
Can the aging wellness assessment help me detect early indicators of disease?
Yes.  Many of the most common diseases are actually caused by the aging process. The markers we’ve chosen help detect early risks of disease that relate to the body’s aging process. Here are a diseases where we can capture early risk factors:
  • Diabetes

  • Metabolic Syndrome

  • Obesity

  • Heart Disease

  • Stroke

  • Non Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD)

  • Cancer

  • Alzheimer's disease

  • Osteoporosis

  • Chronic Kidney Disease

  • Anemia

  • Hypothyroidism

  • Hyperthyroidism

  • PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome)

  • Lupus

  • Rheumatoid Arthritis

  • How does the aging wellness assessment compare to my annual physical?
Our aging wellness assessment is far more comprehensive than a typical annual physical. It includes 55+ biomarkers that measure the health of your heart, thyroid, immune system, hormones, brain, metabolism, bones, and skin.
Most physicals are focused on primarily telling you if have any diseases or not. We go well beyond this. you’ll get insights that will help you feel and perform your best today, and prevent diseases in the future.

Finally, every Aging Wellness assessment includes a full hour with a clinician to review your results and make a plan — 3x longer than the national average. A recent study showed that the average time spent with a primary care physician is only 18 minutes. We felt it was crucial to give our patients more time with their clinician so they can walk away with insights that help them improve their health and wellbeing.
I’m interested in GLP-1 prescription, how do I know if I’m eligible?
During your Aging Wellness Assessment, we’ll look at your BMI, metabolic health, hormone levels, and 55+ other biomarkers to determine if you are eligible for this program. If your clinician recommends the Modern Age Weight Loss Program, they will determine the right prescription for you.
Does Modern Age replace my current primary care doctor?
No. Modern Age does not replace your doctor, but we provide insights and guidance that help you take control of your health. Your aging wellness assessment includes access to 55+ biomarkers and insights about your performance that are written just for you. Every set of labs is reviewed and by your clinician and those results are always available to you in your Modern Age account. Lastly, if your clinician finds anything that requires more specialized attention, they will either refer you out or get in contact with your primary care doctor to facilitate better care.
What recommendations can I expect to get in my clinician session?
Your Modern Age clinician will use your results as well as your goals to recommend a set of prescriptions, over-the-counter products, and treatments based on your unique needs. Your recommendations are based on a holistic perspective across how you look and how you feel, both physically and mentally.
  • Treatments: Your recommendations may include selections from our suite of treatments including some of our IV drips to help reduce inflammation, boost energy or improve focus. If you have skin care or hair care concerns, we may include treatments like Botox, microneedling, or a chemical peel.

  • Prescriptions: We also may include a variety of prescriptions to help boost levels of key hormones such as estrogen, testosterone, and thyroid hormone.

    Julie’s discovery: Low estrogen levels

At 48, Julie was having a hard time sleeping, waking up frequently to go to the bathroom. Her blood test revealed low estrogen levels. Her clinician prescribed an estrogen patch to help get her levels back to an optimal range.

    Jeff's Discovery: Inflammation

Jeff, age 40, was more exhausted than usual after work. His test revealed high levels of CRP, which can lead to fatigue. His clinician recommended our Vitamin C IV therapy and an NAD+ injection series.

    Sarah’s Discovery: Difficulty concentrating

At 50, Sarah was suffering from brain fog. She took our cognitive test and scored in the 20th percentile in focus and attention. Her clinician recommended neurofeedback therapy.

    Ellen’s Discovery: Low bone density

Ellen, age 40, knew osteoporosis ran in her family. At our clinic, she discovered she was losing bone mass faster than average, so her clinician recommended vitamin injections and berberine supplements to boost her bone health.

    Eric’s Discovery: Thyroid imbalance

Eric, age 35, was noticing hair loss and weight gain. His assessment results uncovered a thyroid imbalance, which led his clinician to recommend hormone replacement therapy.
