    Rethinking How We Age

At Modern Age, we are creating a new approach to how we age. We are inspired by research that shows that people who feel younger, live longer. Our bodies change throughout our lives, so it's never too early to understand what's happening and what we can do about it. For those of us who don't want to fade quietly into the background, we are here to help you take control. Learn more about our approach.

More About Sexual & Urinary Health

Sexual and urinary health are important aspects of overall health and well-being, regardless of age and gender. At Modern Age, we believe that a healthy sex life is an important part of life as you age.

With natural aging - like a decrease in estrogen or life events such as pregnancy or excess stress, our bodies may go through changes that get in the way of the rewarding sex life we previously enjoyed. This can lead to lack of interest in sex, inability to reach an orgasm, lack of pleasure, reduced sensation, decreased vaginal lubrication, or pain during sexual activity. And over 50% of women by age 50 will experience symptoms of incontinence. Even though this is so common, most women do not discuss these issues with their healthcare provider.

However, maintaining a healthy lifestyle, practicing pelvic floor exercises, and using water-based lubricants can help improve sexual health and urinary health. Treatments and prescription medications can also help manage these symptoms and get you feeling back to yourself.

As men age, testosterone levels decrease, leading to decreased sex drive and erectile dysfunction (ED). However, maintaining a healthy lifestyle, such as regular exercise and a healthy diet, can help improve sexual health. Men are more prone to prostate problems, such as enlargement or prostate cancer, which can affect urinary health. Symptoms may include difficulty urinating, frequent urination, and urinary incontinence. Regular prostate exams can help detect any potential problems early.
